Service Designer – Public Sector Digital Transformation

If you love designing next-generation digital services that make real impact to 10s of thousands of users monthly, you'll love this Service Designer opportunity, where you'd lead design on a major 3‑year public‑sector digital transformation. 

Salary to £70,000
Location: Liverpool (3 days on‑site for first 6 months, then 2 days) + Hybrid
Clearance: SC‑clearable
Offices: Liverpool + London

What You’ll Do

• You'll lead service design across Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live for a high‑impact national transformation.
• You'll have autonomy over service blueprints, user journeys and ecosystem maps
• You'll oversee co‑design workshops and turn user insights into service improvements.
• You'll support GDS service assessments and champion user‑centred design.

What We Need

• Strong experience designing services in the UK public sector.
• Solid understanding of the GDS Service Standard.
• Confident working in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• SC‑clearable.
