Pre-Sales Technical Consultant - HealthTech SaaS

Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: up to £50,000 base
Job Type: Full-time, permanent

The Company

Our client is a fast-growing HealthTech SaaS company building AI-driven software used globally by life sciences and research organisations to improve how clinical trials are run.

This role is ideal for an academic or technical professional looking to move into a commercial, customer-facing role without carrying sales targets.

 

The Opportunity

This is a non-sales, client-facing technical role supporting enterprise sales teams during the demo and evaluation stages.

You’ll act as the technical expert in live customer conversations, explaining complex platforms clearly and credibly to a non-technical audience. Full commercial training will be provided.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Join sales calls to deliver in-depth product demonstrations
  • Explain complex technical concepts in a clear, accessible way
  • Act as the technical authority during pre-sales conversations
  • Answer detailed product, workflow and capability questions
  • Support sales teams with tailored demo preparation
  • Provide technical follow-up insights post-demo
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to stay current

Important: This role does not involve cold calling, prospecting or closing deals.

 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • MSc or PhD (completed or near completion) in:
    • Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Life Sciences
    • Scientific or technical disciplines
  • Strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
  • High technical aptitude and curiosity
  • Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Interest in transitioning from academia into technology or business

It would be an advantage to have:

  • Exposure to clinical research, trials, or research operations
  • Experience using technical or data-driven software platforms
  • Any interaction with healthcare or research technology tools
