Contract: IDAM Engineer (Identity & Access Management)

Location: Remote (occasional travel to client sites)

Rate: £450-500 per day (Outside IR35)

Clearance: Eligible for SC clearance (essential)

Experience: Public sector experience required

Overview

We’re supporting a leading consultancy delivering into a public sector client undergoing a major technology and cyber transformation.

They are looking for an experienced IDAM Engineer to help design and implement secure identity and access solutions across a modernising digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement identity and access management solutions
• Support authentication, authorisation, and access control mechanisms
• Contribute to the delivery of secure access across applications and services
• Work alongside security, platform, and DevOps teams
• Support identity-related integration across cloud and enterprise systems
• Ensure solutions align with security and compliance standards
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in identity strategy and capability

Key Experience Required

• Strong experience within IDAM / IAM engineering roles
• Experience working within secure, regulated environments
• Understanding of modern authentication and access control approaches
• Experience in cloud or hybrid environments
• Ability to operate within complex enterprise ecosystems
• Proven public sector / government experience

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to SSO, federation, or identity protocols
• Experience working on large-scale transformation programmes
• Familiarity with API / application access control patterns
