Contract Opportunity – Senior Data Service Designer 

6 months | Remote (occasional Leeds travel) | Outside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Service Designer to support a major Enterprise Data Management Platform pre-audit programme. This role is central to ensuring data governance, compliance, and audit readiness across the organisation.

You’ll be leading the design of frameworks, policies, and operating models that strengthen how data is managed and governed, ensuring alignment with GDPR, information privacy, and wider regulatory requirements.

What you’ll do:

• Lead design of a Data Governance Framework & Operating Model

• Assess current policies, standards & data practices

• Support audit planning & compliance gap analysis

• Engage senior stakeholders & present findings at board level

What we need:

• Proven Data / Information Governance expertise

• Strong knowledge of GDPR & information privacy

• Experience designing frameworks, audits, and stewardship models

• Strong track record engaging with senior stakeholders and running governance workshops.

• Operates at SFIA Level 6 / senior strategic level
